It is our pleasure to announce that from
September 13-17 I will be in a series of studies on fellowship in
Christ Jesus and related matters at Houston, Texas. The night
sessions will be held in the auditorium of Sidney Lanier Junior

sessions, which will consist of open question forums, will be

Milligan College has been made the recipient of a gift of
$1,200,000 to be used in construction of a field house, which
will be the only one of its kind in the world. The announcement
was made by Mildred Welshimer Phillips.... It was a privilege for
me to speak seven times in the Columbus and Sunbury, Ohio,,
region. The question periods were especially interesting. I was
thrilled to stay with Jeff and Linda Smith, and converse with
them about our mutual friends in Great Britain and on the
continent.... Kerry E. Patterson, a student at University of
Tennessee was the recipient of the 185th copy of Simple
Trusting Faith, my book which I am sending free to any
college or university student who requests it. If you are
enrolled in college all you need to do is to make a personal
request, giving us your name and address, and the name of the
school in which you are a student. The request must come from you
personally.... The Tenth Annual Northmen Fellowship, held each
year in Michigan, will feature as a theme, "Faith, Freedom,
Evangelism." The dates are August 3-5.... If you are really

Lectures, at the Thomas W. Phillips Memorial, Nashville,
Tennessee, May 10, 11, choosing for his topic, "Campbell and the
Colleges."... Burton B. Thurston will join the faculty of Bethany
College, in September. Brother Thurston was formerly on the staff
of the American University of Beirut, Lebanon.... There were 24
missionaries from around the world on the Harding College Seminar
on World Evangelism.... The Pan-American Lectures will be held in
Guatemala City, Guatemala, Central America, November 15-19....
Christian Crusader is a little journal of inspirational
thoughts and poems, published at Box 145, Hammond, Illinois
61929. It is both interesting and helpful.... General William C.
Westmoreland, Army Chief of Staff, spoke at Lubbock Christian
College, April 2.... The May edition of Mission was
outstanding for the breadth of its contribution to thought. The

We think you should read The Future of the Christian, by

series of meetings held at James River Chapel, south of
Springfield, Missouri, brought people together from seven states,
with a full house each night. Of special interest were the
question sessions each morning, with the audience numbering 80
for the final one. Norman Estep and Bob White are scheduled to
work with the congregation through this year.... The Atlanta
Journal reports that my friend and brother, Robert W. Burns,
officiated at more than 4500 weddings during his forty years of
service at Peachtree Christian Church.... If you want any kind of

Billie Sol Estes, convicted for mail fraud more than six years
ago will be freed from the Federal Correctional Institution, El
