with deep regret that I must report the death of Homer Harvey, September 19, after a long illness
at Middletown, Indiana. When I first knew Homer he was an artisan in sculpture work....
Clarence Greenleaf reports that there were 754 men present for the Blue Ridge Men's Clinic. It
was a privilege for me to be present with these brethren.... The Seminar on Unity at
Houston, Texas, was an interesting and helpful experience. It was attended by brethren from
many segments of the restoration movement. The daily question sessions at the Downtown
YMCA were productive of much good. I shared with Ervin Waters in the seminar sessions and
he did a masterful job. Brethren in the Houston area intend to continue the discussions and
contacts with other meetings in the future.... Our study in depth at Astoria, Illinois, was a
spiritually refreshing experience, and I count myself fortunate to be able to work with Dale

The October issue of 20th Century Christian has a two-page center spread showing new
buildings under construction at the Malibu Campus of Pepperdine University.... The September
issue of Mission contains an interview with Roland H. Bainton, retired Professor of

take-off by Gary Freeman upon his invitation to
participate in the Preacher's Workshop at Abilene Christian College.... Did you know that out of
the 100 largest Sunday Schools in the United States, 87 are Baptist?... Leroy Garrett and Ellis
Crum were the speakers at the opening service in Heritage Chapel, Charleston, Illinois. The new
meetinghouse is admirably located for work near the college campus.... If you have had
