One of the most used reference books in my
library is An Expository Dictionary of New Testament
Words, by W. E. Vine. W. Graham Scroggie wrote: "It is at
once a concordance, a dictionary, and a commentary." Almost every
word in the new covenant scriptures is covered. The Greek word is
given and spelled out in English letters, and the word is
carefully defined. The variations in meaning of synonyms is shown
and one who knows little, or nothing about Greek, can use it and
derive a great deal from it. This large volume sells for $13.95,
but I consider that it is worth much more than that to me. I have
recommended it before but I keep telling about it because I think
the brethren who are serious students will appreciate this
helpful volume.
