The Hartford Forum, an annual gathering of free men in Christ, will be held at 137 East Maple Street, Hartford, Illinois, starting on the afternoon of December 28, and continuing through the evening of December 29. Subjects and speakers are as follows: "What Are The Specific Scriptural Grounds on Which a Local Congregation May Exclude Brethren From its Communion?" by Harold Key and Wayne T. Hall; "What Is The Nature and Extent of the Work of Women in the Church?" by Grayson H. Ensign and Leon Fancher; "What Constitutes the Worship Required of Citizens of the Kingdom of Heaven in This Dispensation?" by Charles Holt and Boyce Mouton; "Is the Current 'Jesus People' or 'Street Christian' Movement a Valid Scriptural Phenomenon, and What Should Be the Attitude Toward it of the Established Church?" by Kirk Prine and Roy Weece; "What Should Be the Attitude of Christians Toward Inter-racial Marriages?" by Hoy Ledbetter and Leroy Garrett. A copy of the entire program and other information can be secured by writing to Berdell McCann, 127 Donna Drive, Hartford, Illinois 62048. You may call him at (618) 254-6454. Hartford is just south of Alton, Illinois, and there are easily accessible motels for those who wish to stay through for the entire event.... We regret to announce that Sentinel of Truth, a beautiful and challenging monthly periodical, edited by Harold Spurlock, P.O. Box 1717, Kilgore, Texas 75662, ceased publication with the June issue. There are back copies remaining and we suggest that you send a dollar and ask Harold to send you samples of this magazine. The messages will not grow old.... Leroy Garrett is to appear on the Preachers Workshop at Abilene Christian College in January. He will present a reaction paper to one dealing with charismatic gifts. My own speech on fellowship will be offered on the morning of January 10.... Mission is offering a free copy of an interview with Pat Boone, to every person who sends a subscription and requests the reprint. A special bargain is the offer of a five year subscription for $18.00 (a saving of $7.00). The address of this outstanding journal is P.O. Box 2822, Abilene, Texas 79604. It is different!... Dale Cluxton is starting a new approach to the needs of this generation with a congregation meeting in Salem Mall Shopping Center, Englewood, Ohio. And Dale would like to send you material about the Equipping Christians Clinic, designed to help develop every member of your congregation to serve according to his gifts and abilities. Please write for this information, addressing your request to 410 North Main Street, Englewood, Ohio 45322. You can call (513) 836-1497.... Ken Goetz who lives in Arizona writes: "I have just finished reading your Parable of Telstar and Other Talks. It is a blessing indeed for a machinist like myself to gain insights that I could not very easily attain in my own studies." Thank you, Ken, and God bless you!... If you would like to secure cassettes containing my lectures and question forums on the subject of the Holy Spirit, or on the book of Romans, you are invited to write for a list showing those that are available and cost of each, to Vernon H. Woods, 3950 Coburg Road, Space 87, Eugene, Oregon 97401 Please enclose large, stamped and self-addressed envelope with your request.... It was a real thrill to me to speak at the Men's Retreat at Rock Garden Camp, near Eminence, Missouri. I was accompanied by Leroy Long and Otto Schlieper, and it was an enjoyable experience for us.... Nell will send a free copy of my book The Royal Priesthood to any col-

lege or university student in the world who makes a personal request for it. Please give name and address and specify the name of the college where you are enrolled. There is absolutely no obligation except your card or letter.... I will be in a study in depth on the subject of the Holy Spirit in Hobbs, New Mexico, October 16-20, with both morning and night sessions. For information write to Jackie D. Miler, P.O. Box 2125, Hobbs, New Mexico 88240, or call 393-6403. Sessions will be held at First Christian Church.... October 30-November 3 I will be at Corvallis, Oregon. Please contact Don H. Byers, P.O. Box 368, Philomath, Oregon 97370; November 5-8 I will be at Beaverton, Oregon, and you may secure information from Donald S. Cox, 13600 S.W. Allen Blvd., Beaverton, Oregon 97005.... It is my fond hope that I will be able to see many of the Illinois brethren in the series of Bible studies to be conducted in Astoria, Illinois, December 4-8. Information may be secured by writing to Dale Eddington, Box 705, Astoria, Illinois 61501. This will be a real meeting and we hope that you'll take advantage of it and come and share with us.... I think you ought to read the article by Stan Paregien in the August issue of Integrity. This is especially true if you are reading the reply to it by Roy Lanier, Sr., in the Firm Foundation. Integrity is published at 8494 Bush Hill Court, Grand Blanc, Michigan 48439.... A few days ago I had a letter from a sincere saint asking if there was a premillennial paper published by brethren in the Churches of Christ. There is not, but the brethren who are generally of that interpretative conviction do publish The Word and Work at 2518 Portland Avenue, Louisville, Kentucky 40212. It is a good journal but it has a great deal in it besides interpretation of prophecy. Ask for a sample copy.... Have you seen a copy of The Christian Appeal, a neat and attractive journal which you can hand to your friends without reservation? The October issue is a special one on baptism. You can receive a sample by writing to 4220 West 11th Avenue, Amarillo, Texas 79106.... Gordon Wilson still has available some of the bound copies of Facts for Faith which sell for $3.95 each. We think this is about as good material on apologetics for this generation as you will get. You can order from 6316 Pernod, St. Louis, Missouri 63139.... It is my intention, if our precious Lord wills, to attend at least a part of the David Lipscomb College lectureship in Nashville, Tennessee, January 1.5-17, and if so, it will be a privilege to meet many of our readers from that area. I plan also to return to visit Florida College during the early part of the year, and if this hope materializes it will be a refreshment of spirit to see a number of the saints in the Tampa area. It is a genuine thrill to be a free man in Christ Jesus and thus able to go among all of the brethren and share with them.... I must again mention to you that the format of the paper will change somewhat for 1973. I will be answering questions about my stand in every issue for next year and it is our prayer that we can make this one of the most informative and faith-building years of reading in our history. We think you will like it. If your subscription is due to expire soon we urge you to renew at once. Why not send in three dollars for three years?... We think you should know that the book Thomas Campbell--Man of the Book is getting in very short supply. It will not be reprinted and it is very valuable. We will mail you one for only $2.00 if you send at once and we hope that you will not let this opportunity slip by.... As soon as the December issue is off the press we will begin binding one thousand copies of the book to be called The Divine Purpose. To be sure and secure one of these we urge that you send in an advance order. Send no money. An invoice will be included with the book when it is mailed to you.
