celebrated her 106th birthday in February, in the Adair County (Mo.) Nursing Home. She was

Hal Watkins has brought out an attractive little book dealing with apologetics, and simply titled,

Printed Preacher.... Edward and Sara Faye Fudge, Athens, Alabama, have a new daughter,
Melanie Anne, born January 17. Congratulations!... Cecil Todd has announced that Revival Fires
will distribute a half-million Bibles as a part of "Operation Reach-Out" in 1973.

privilege to me to speak five times and answer questions by the hour at Christian House, at the
University of Missouri. Students are regularly being baptized into Christ under the teaching of
Roy Weece.... God also blessed us with a good session at Murray Christian Fellowship, which
meets adjacent to the campus of Murray State College, Murray, Kentucky. I was also privileged
to address a large audience of saints at Brookport, Illinois.... J. D. Phillips has a most interesting
article in his February issue of The Truth under the heading, "Infidelity at Lexington in
1917." Included is a letter from Ben F. Battenfield, who was a student at the College of the Bible
when J. W. McCarvey passed away.... Among the speakers for The Northmen Convocation, in
the Michigan woods in August, will be Roger Chambers, Knofel Staton, Keith Sproat, Albert
McGee, Don DeWelt and Bill Horton, a great group of spiritual men..... A special issue of
20th Century Christian titled "Handbook for College Students" will be issued in
September. A number of new and interesting departments have been added to the journal.... Fred
Faughn, who has been working with the brethren in Galesburg, Illinois, is moving to Columbus,
Kansas.... We must mention to all of our readers again that Mission Messenger will suspend
publication at the close of 1975. If you will send three dollars your name will be enrolled for the
duration of the paper. Any additional amount which you send will be used in the fund to mail
free books to college students.... At the close of this year all of the copies for 1973 will be
collected and bound into an attractive cloth-bound volume which will bear the title "The

who was celebrating his fiftieth anniversary as a preacher of the gospel. Included was an article

text of a five night series on "The Holy Spirit in Our Lives Today," plus the full coverage of an
open forum on the theme, from my lectureship at Hobbs, New Mexico, is now available for
study. The material is just as it came from the tapes with all of the crudities manifested when
one does not use notes or manuscript. This twenty-page tabloid newspaper can be secured by
