Nell has been mailing out copies of the book Thoughts on Unity all over the world. This valuable 325 page volume will someday have terrific historical value. We will send it absolutely free to any college or university student on earth who sends a personal request, giving mailing address and college where enrolled. We urge college instructors and others to mention this in classes and urge students to get in on it while they can. If you are not a college student you can secure one for $3.95.... The booklet Baptism which contains a reprint of the issue of last June in which I deal with so-called "Baptist baptism" and set forth the nine designs of baptism will be sent free to any person upon request. Please tell us how many you can use. If you are a teacher you may want to hand one to each member of your class. If you want to enclose a little to help on postage we can use it, but don't let that hold you back. We will send you what you'll use to the glory of our God.... I should like to commend Leroy Garrett for an outstanding edition of Restoration Review in his November issue. He said some things which needed to be said and said them well. This outstanding monthly journal of 20 pages is only $2.00 per year. Send your subscription to 1201 Windsor Drive, Denton, Texas 76201.... While I am at it let me mention that Reuel Lemmons turned out an excellent issue of Firm Foundation for December 18. The editorial "Negative Criticism" was well done and the article on "Church Politics" by Edward Fudge, was a good example of the work being done by one of the best writers among the brethren. The address of the paper is Post Office Box 610, Austin, Texas 78767, and the annual subscription is $5.00.... The December 20 issue of Gospel Guardian, edited by William Wallace, contained the last of a series of replies in a running skirmish with another journal published by brethren who also oppose current methods of support of orphan homes, Herald of Truth, etc. Brethren who edit the Gospel Guardian are going to try and produce a journal free from partisan political in-fighting and dedicated to edification of all with special emphasis upon the needs of every member of the family. This is commendatory and the staff which includes Doyle Banta, Edward Fudge, Arvid K. McGuire, Fanning Yater Tant, and Gordon Wilson, is composed of excellent journalists. We suggest you send for a free sample of Gospel Guardian, at P.O. Box 858, Athens, Alabama 35611.... The Scripture Standard, edited in behalf of the congregations in Great Britain, by Carlton Melling, 133 Long Lane, Hindley, Wigan, Lancashire, England, is suffering from the same financial problem which grips many publications in our country. Paul Jones, who is treasurer, sent out a special letter in November asking for gifts to maintain the paper. We pray that brethren abroad will recognize its value as I have through the years.... I was saddened to learn of the death due to heart attack of my brother. Dr. James J. Hamilton, 43, at Kingsport, Tennessee. Jim was an outstanding Christian in my book.... If you have printing work to be done and you want a neat high quality job at a minimum rate you should write to Equipping Christians International, 604 Wolf Avenue, Englewood, Ohio 45322. Or you can call Dale Cluxton at (513) 836-1497. You ought to get samples of the work produced by this not for profit group of brethren whether you have them do your printing or not. Write to them.... The F. T. Patton family returned to Colombo, Ceylon in August for their

second tour of duty in this area where they immersed 50 persons while there the first time.... George and Martha Tien are now in Hongkong, preparing to enter Mainland China. George, who was born in Peking, is now translating tracts and books into Mandarin Chinese, while broadcasting the good news into China three times weekly over Far East Radio.... Bill Richardson, who has spent almost fourteen years in Holland, will return this year for extended efforts in Rotterdam a city of more than 800,000 people.... We think you will really like our next issue. Some of the articles will be entitled: Transforming Speech; Was That Thunder?; and The Last Prophecy. Could we ask you to send a list of names and addresses, accompanied by a dollar for each, so they will receive the paper for a year? We trust that God will lay it upon your heart to share with others. They cannot read what we write unless they get the paper, and many of them will not receive it unless you send it to them.... If you would like to have copies of the issue you are now reading you can secure extras by requesting them and sending ten cents for each. Address your request to MISSION MESSENGER, 139 Signal Hill Drive, Saint Louis Missouri 63121.... If you want to make the meeting on Indiana University Campus, February 21, 22, why not contact Stanley K. McDaniel, Tulip Tree House, No. 1003, Bloomington, Indiana 47401. We hope you make it.... Do not forget that we have only two more years of publication. If you want to remain with us to the end just send two dollars and Nell will place your name on for the duration. If you feel called to send more than that, the surplus will be used to send books to college students all over the world. The time is growing shorter for you to read the paper and we do hope you'll not fiddle around and let your subscription expire.... I want to acknowledge my debt to the brethren at Rossville and Antioch congregations, over on the east side of Illinois, for having me come for the meetings at night and during the day. It was great to work with Richard Youkey and Ronald Henwood. I stayed in Ron's home and it was a real blessing to me.... I am looking forward to seeing a lot of brethren at Kingsport, Tennessee, March 7-9. All kinds of meetings are planned. Write to Max E. Smith, 106 East Charlemont, Kingsport, Tennessee 37660, and come and be with us.... If you'd like to have a bundle of papers to distribute to friends each month please write for our bundle rate.... Brethren at Hartford, Illinois, announced that the Hartford Forum would be discontinued after almost twenty years of existence. It is altogether possible that the forum will be held in the Saint Louis area in 1974 under other sponsorship. The meeting just completed brought together brethren from many states and Canada for open and free discussion of highly controversial issues. There was a great spirit manifested.... The first issue of The Disciple, biweekly Journal of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) was mailed January 7. It succeeds and combines the features of The Christian and World Call. Approximately 125 high school young people from midwestern states enrolled for the youth meeting at Dunn Road Chapel, Saint Louis, Missouri, starting December 28.... As our last word, we hope you will send in subscriptions for your friends and help us share the message with them. We must depend upon your concern for souls and their growth!
