OUR PAPER!

According to promise, we present our readers with the second number, at the time appointed. We have the satisfaction to them, that our arrangements for the publication of the paper are completed, a printing office exclusively for its use, and provided with new type and press, having been established. They may expect to receive it, hereafter, weekly, without interruption. We are, therefore, fully and fairly embarked in this important undertaking. On our part, we shall spare no pains, shall be unremitting in our exertions, to make the paper one of the most instructive and interesting newspapers published in the country. All that we now need is the active co-operation of our readers, friends and agents, in furnishing us with the means to carry out our plans for their entertainment. So far, our success has been highly encouraging. To many agents we return our thanks for their promptitude and kindness in sending us lists of subscribers. To those who have not yet reported, we look for immediate returns, that we may furnish the paper from the commencement of the volume, to the subscribers they have obtained. For terms, we refer to the first page, and again repeat that any person, desiring to advance the interests of our paper, may become an agent, by complying with the conditions there mentioned.
