Working with the Text
Use the translation only when you cannot make sense out of the Latin sentence, don't read it before you even start on the Latin text
After having worked your way through the chapter, re-read the Latin text in it's normal format.
Latin Composition (Gunnison & Harley)
Review the grammar assigned in Lesson
2 of the Composition (p. 281).
Lesson II refers you to a number of sections (109, 110, 113, 114,
115) in the grammatical appendix at the front of the book,
pp. 243 & 247).
After studying the grammar sections, translate the Sentences of EXERCISE 1 (p.282).

60 & 74, which are located in front of the book, pp. 243 &
247).
After studying the grammar sections, translate the Sentences 1-8 of EXERCISE 1 (p. 281)
