118:1       aleph
beati inmaculati in via qui ambulant in lege Domini
118:1.
Blessed are the undefiled in the way, who walk in the law of the Lord.
118:2 beati qui scrutantur testimonia eius in toto corde exquirent eum 118:2. Blessed are they that search his testimonies: that seek him with their whole heart.
118:3 non enim qui operantur iniquitatem in viis eius ambulaverunt 118:3. For they that work iniquity, have not walked in his ways.
118:4 tu mandasti mandata tua custodire nimis 118:4. Thou hast commanded thy commandments to be kept most diligently.
118:5 utinam dirigantur viae meae ad custodiendas iustificationes tuas 118:5. O! that my ways may be directed to keep thy justifications.
118:6 tunc non confundar cum perspexero in omnibus mandatis tuis 118:6. Then shall I not be confounded, when I shall look into all thy commandments.
118:7 confitebor tibi in directione cordis in eo quod didici iudicia iustitiae tuae 118:7. I will praise thee with uprightness of heart, when I shall have learned the judgments of thy justice.
118:8 iustificationes tuas custodiam non me derelinquas usquequaque 118:8. I will keep thy justifications: O! do not thou utterly forsake me.

Be thou mindful of thy word to thy servant, in which thou hast given me hope.
