The Bible is a big book--my edition of the New International Version has nearly 1000 pages--so very few people read it right through. As a result they never get the full picture of the character and purpose of God. This book, Seeds of the Spirit, seeks to overcome this problem in a true Australian fashion by what may be termed the kangaroo method of Bible reading. It attempts to cover the whole Bible in one year by the selection of key Bible passages, hopping over a lot of detailed intermediate material. The daily notes link these Bible passages into a continuous story of God's unfolding plan for the human race and apply them in a practical way to our everyday lives. This method will appeal to busy people and especially to new Christians. Those with more time will be further enriched by reading the context of the text selected for the day.
