PREFACE.

The contents of this book originally appeared in JOHNSON'S QUARTERLY, and the students of the Correspondence Bible College were the first recipients of its benefits. It is given this more permanent form in order to meet the wants of the large number of Christians, who, owing to the cares and responsibilities of life, have but little time for study. I have endeavored to make clear the footprints of Jehovah, and I fervently desire that those who find pleasure in following my line of thought, may find joy, peace, and hope by the way, and at last--see His face!

The illustrations is this work are not original. We trust, however, that they will make things plainer to the mind of the earnest reader.
