Come to Crete Meeting.
If the Lord will, we propose commencing a protracted meeting in the Crete bethel on the fourth of October, to continue at least two weeks, and as much longer as the interest of the meeting will justify, if that should be all winter. Elders Bolton and Warner, and all the dear brethren and sisters in Nebraska and elsewhere who can come to our aid are most cordially invited. Our ordinance meeting in June was attended by helpers from Palmyra, Omaha and Seward; and the good effects of their presence and aid are seen and felt to this day, and will tell to all eternity. Since then seven have joined our little band here, and others are almost ready to cast their lots in with the Church of God. Come again, noble workers; come again and bring others with you. Let many others come. Pastors and people, all who can, come in the name of Jesus; and we will welcome and care for you; and God will bless you, and make you a blessing to the faithful little church here, and to this young and growing city.
Let those who cannot come pray for the success of this special effort. Crete belongs to the whole body. Brethren of the Church of God everywhere, pray for us.
Yours in the work,
E. D. ALLER. |
