BRO. FORNEY.--Although we have never yet been favored with a great outburst of religious excitement in Crete, yet, thank the Lord, the little Church of God here has from its birth enjoyed a constant, gradual, and healthy growth, until it now numbers twenty-one faithful members. Our future prospects are brightening.

Our protracted meeting here commenced on the fourth of October, and ended on the sixth of November. Ten were converted, five baptized, and nine fellowshiped. The nineteenth of October was the anniversary Sunday of the dedication of the bethel. On that day we attended to the ordinances of baptism, feet-washing, and the Lord's Supper, and fellowshiped several converts. It was a great day to the little Crete Church.

The bethel was densely crowded in the evening. The pews, stand, aisles and windows were filled to their utmost capacity. Elder Warner, of Seward Mission, preached two convincing sermons on the ordinances that day. The people received the truth well, and we look for future fruit. Brethren and sisters from far and near came to our aid. Helpers who came from other States were Prof. Kennedy, of Pa.; Elder Hahn, of Ind.; Bro. and Sister Dillinger, of Ill., and Elder Bolton, of Iowa. Those of our own State were Elder Warner, Bro. J. H. Anderson and lady, and Bros. W. Anderson, J. Figert, C. Clark and J. Horton; all of Seward Mission; and Sister Ellie Fisher, of Omaha. We are under lasting obligation to these noble helpers for their timely assistance, and hope they will soon return to gladden our hearts, and strengthen our hands again.
