REV. DANIEL STRINGER.
EV. DANIEL STRINGER entered the itinerant service
of the Methodists in the year 1790, as it appears,
and was located in 1794. He joined the O'Kelly movement
with other local preachers. He labored principally
in North Carolina and in Virginia. He, no doubt, was
well equipped for that time; he was associated in his
labors with the Rev. Benjamin Rainey. He should be
classed with the founders of the Christian Church, with
whom he was laboring as late as 1809. He published
during this year in connection with Rev. Mr. Rainey a
"Pamphlet in Vindication of the Christian Doctrine."
