EV. ROBERT R. PRATHER lived in Guilford county. He was ordained to the office of Elder at Union chapel, in Orange (now Alamance) county, North Carolina, in 1828. In 1830, he was in attendance upon the General Meeting or Conference, held at New Providence meeting house. Soon after this he connected himself with the Methodist Protestant church in which he labored many years, but was always friendly toward the Christian Church. None of the ignoble traits of his unworthy sire can be imputed to him. He was a most excellent man. [142]
