EV. HENRY GOODWIN was a member of the North
Carolina Christian Conference. A letter from Pleasant
Grove church recommending him for ordination was
presented to the Conference at Bethel church, in Chatham
county, in 1840, and the Conference in compliance
with said letter ordained him to the work of the gospel
ministry. He was duly enrolled among the Elders of
this Conference.
