EV. DAVID H. McCLURE was a member of the Missouri
Christian Conference, which met at Union
church in Ray county, August 15, 1851. In 1859, he
was present at the Conference, and served on the presbytery
to ordain Revs. M. J. Bryan and John V. Pointer.
The communication between the Missouri Conference
and the North Carolina and Virginia Conferences
was suspended during the Civil War, and hence records
with suitable data are not at our command.
