Robert H. Boll Lessons on Hebrews, 3rd Edition, Revised (2001) |
Historical Note:
Preface to the 1947 Edition
These "Lessons on Hebrews" appeared first serially in one of the religious journals; and about five years later were published in book form. The book edition was soon sold out; and during the years there has been much and constant demand and inquiry for the book. It has been used widely for private and devotional reading; for an aid to the study of the Hebrews epistle; in Bible classes. The simplicity of these "lessons" has been a factor in their great usefulness to the average student and as a textbook for class work. So we send it forth again in this new edition, trusting that it may prove again as helpful to many.
Since the chief benefit of this book lies not in itself, but in the inspired Epistle of which it treats, and to which it is merely a finger post, it is hopefully and gladly offered to all with the wish that many may through it be led to study the "Letter to the Hebrews," to their help and infinite blessing.
Louisville, Ky., July, 1947. R. H. Boll.
