Richard McNemar
The Kentucky Revival, &c. (1808)

About the Electronic Edition.

Richard McNemar's The Kentucky Revival, &c. was first published in Cincinnati, Ohio, from the Press of John W. Browne, in 1807. It was published with McNemar's Observations on Church Government in 1808 by E. and E. Hosford (Albany, New York; 119, 23 p.) and by Phinehas Allen (Pittsfield, Mass.; 148, 28 p.). Reprints of the Hosford edition have been issued by Art Guild Reprints (Cincinnati, Ohio) in 1968 and by College Press (Joplin, Missouri) in 1974 as part of its Restoration Reprints series. The electronic edition has been transcribed from the College Press reprint by Michael Harbour, with HTML rendering and critical apparatus by Ernie Stefanik.

In the printed text, footnotes are indicated by printer's devices (asterisks and daggers); in the electronic edition, they are treated as sequentially numbered endnotes. In the printed text, extended quotations are indicated by quotation marks on the left side of the text page; in the electronic edition, they are treated as block quotations. Pagination in the electronic version has been represented by placing the page number in brackets following the last complete word on the printed page. Inconsistencies in spelling, capitalization, punctuation, and typography have been retained; however, corrections for misspellings and other accidental corruptions have been offered. Emendations are as follows:
