Saint Louis Study

[Page 14]
The average attendance of students in the day sessions of the Saint Louis study was 85. On New Year's Eve more than 240 were present, most of whom remained until the service closed at midnight. On the final Friday night, 96 attended at Temple Israel to witness the Jewish service and to examine the ancient scrolls used in the synagogue ritual. The congregation at 7121 Manchester Avenue had the cooperation of the other congregations in the city in providing housing and food for out-of-town students. A high point of the daily meetings was reached in the two classes conducted by Jim Mabery on "A Synopsis of the Bible Story" and "The Evolution of Christianity." A daily forum was entitled "Goals of Restoration and How to Achieve Them."
