The sub-title of this book is "Popular Expositions on the Kingdom of God" and the author writes in an easy style which can be understood by most readers. In spite of disagreement with his views at certain points, I found a great deal of real interest. The book affirms that the church had its birthday on Pentecost. In my opinion the author reaches his zenith in the chapters entitled "The Righteousness of the Kingdom" and "The Demand of the Kingdom." His treatment of the parables of Jesus and his analysis of the sermon on the mount will be found especially refreshing. The book is written from the pre-millennial viewpoint.
