New Mexico Study
The congregation at Farmington, New Mexico, exhibited unparalleled
hospitality in the Bible study which closed July 3. All sessions were held in Fairgrounds
Auditorium, where the local members also served all meals to the visitors, as well as caring for
them in their homes. Paul McFarland, an elder, personally served a breakfast of hot cakes to all
comers each morning. Dean Garrison presided at the special meetings, with Jack Wheat acting
as chairman of the housing committee. The Lord's Day morning speakers were Clarence Cassell,
Pomona, Calif.; Victor Richards, El Paso, Texas; Herman Gower, Albuquerque, New Mexico;
and Fred Killebrew, Senath, Missouri. The latter taught daily sessions on "The Individual" and
"The Seven Churches of Revelation." Panel sessions were held on Sunday afternoons, answering
questions turned in by the audience. Students attended from nine states. Four were immersed on
the final Lord's Day afternoon. The congregation at Farmington deserves commendation.
