The annual forum conducted by the congregation of saints at Hartford, Illinois, to promote unity among all believers in Christ, will be held December 27, 28, starting at 2:00 o'clock p. m., on December 27. Men from Disciples of Christ, Independent Christian Churches, and Churches of Christ, will discuss the theme, "The Holy Spirit in Our Lives Today," and will answer questions from the audience during a two-hour forum session. It is anticipated that the lectures will be placed in book form so that all may study the current thinking of the men drawn from various segments of the restoration movement.
Subjects assigned are: The Personality of the Spirit; Baptism and Gift of the Holy Spirit; The Holy Spirit and the Gift of Tongues; The Spirit and the Prayer Life; Illumination and Revelation; The Spirit and Promotion of Christian Unity; The Fruits of the Spirit; The Holy Spirit and Human History.
Among the speakers will be Lavern Houtz, President of Southeastern Christian College; Richard Phillips, Professor of Philosophy at Lincoln Christian Seminary; Roy Key, Minister of First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), Ames, Iowa; Leroy Garrett, Professor of Philosophy at Texas Women's University; and W.
