     We extend our deepest sympathy to the family of Bernell Weems, at Bonne Terre, Missouri. Bernell, who was 45 years old, suffered death instantly in an automobile accident about two miles from his home, early on May 19. James Mabery and Bernie Crum oonducted the funeral service.... We are saddened by the death of our brother, George Ruhl, who passed away following surgery in a Springfield (Mo.) hospital.... Ray will also secure any publication upon your request, and can handle all special offers. Here is a brother who suffers from a severe physical handicap but simply will not quit. The series of studies held at James River Chapel, south of Springfield, Missouri, broke all attendance records. Every night service closed with a baptism, twelve being immersed in five nights. Brethren came from a number of states to be present for the entire series.... It was a privilege to hear from the following recently: Terence E. Johnson, who labors with Plymouth Congregational Church, 1900 Nicollet Avenue, Minneapolis, Minnesota; Fred I. Gardner, Johnson City, Tennessee, who informs me that an Emmanuel Graduate School student will be doing a thesis next year on "The Glory of God as Mentioned in the Old Testament"; Graydon Jessup, who speaks highly of the prospects of work in Anchorage, Alaska; Mary Hendren, who keeps us posted on conditions in Belfast, North Ireland; and Gary W. Campbell, Taos, New Mexico, who is seriously considering opening up a coffee-house ministry in that area.... This is probably the last call for my book Apples of Gold, which contains all of the copies of the paper for 1967; and One Great Chapter, which is the bound volume for 1971. The books are only $2.95 each, but there are but few of them remaining.... If you have not yet secured a copy of my latest book of sermons, The Parable of Telstar, we urge you to write for it. There are sixteen talks to all kinds of groups, and we think it will be most interesting to you. It also sells for $2.95 per copy.... Edward Fudge has resigned his work with the congregation at Kirkwood, Missouri, to move to Athens, Alabama, where he will be associated with The C. E. I. Publishing Company.... The 27th fall and winter session of Bible Training Work at West Amarillo Church of Christ will begin on September 11.... The 14th annual gospel campaign on the Cherokee Indian Reservation (North Carolina) was held June 4-18.... On April 2, Roy N. Mullinax, spoke at the Happy Mount Leprosarium, to 200 people, a majority of them victims of leprosy. The location is near Taipei, Taiwan, China....
