Book Talk

You will be pleased to know that the 560 page commentary covering Romans, Corinthians, Galatians, and Thessalonians, and written by J. W. McGarvey and Philip Y. Pendleton is now available to you for only $4.95. The format matches other books in The Restoration Library, and we recommend it to you highly.

One of the most meaningful books I have read recently is Jesus Spells Freedom, by Michael Green. His thesis that Jesus uses "freedom" to depict the transformed life which comes when men understand and live by his word is terrific. You will read it with great appreciation and benefit. It is $1.50.

Another that you will not want to miss is Living and Loving, by A. N. Triton. I have not read a book which deals more honestly and openly with the problems of the college student with relation to sexuality. It was written to answer the question, "What part should sex play in the Christian life?" and it ought to be in every church library in the country. It is only $1.25.

I think a lot of good brethren are missing out on something real in not reading The Tests of Faith by J. A. Motyer. The author was Old Testament Editor of The New Bible Commentary, and in this little book he takes a practical approach to Christian living as seen in the Letter of James. You will get insights that you haven't had before, we are certain. It is $1.50.

Our good brother in the Lord, Edward Fudge, has a new and attractive exposition of the Epistle to the Hebrews in a 220 page volume under the title Our Man in Heaven. It is well-written and understandable. The cost is $4.95.

We would like to mention again our own books The Parable of Telstar and Other Talks, and The Divine Purpose. The first contains sixteen sermons to make the faith real in our day, while the second contains all of the papers for last year. We urge you not to wait much longer if you expect to secure them. They are $2.95 each.
