Book Talk

We hate to mention inflation again, but the day of cheap books is over. Paperbacks now sell for the price of clothbound volumes only a few years ago. I do not intend to quit reading, for books are food and medicine for the soul. Here are a few volumes that I should like to have you secure and read.

The Fool of God, by Louis Cochran. A new paperback edition that is excellent and will keep you thrilled. This story of the life of Alexander Campbell is one of the most interesting books I have read. It is $3.50.

Only One Way, by John R. W. Stott. This is an expository study of Galatians by a master thinker in our generation. Stott says of his own study of the apostolic letter, "It has left me more deeply convinced than ever of the divine inspiration, and therefore the permanent authority and relevance of the Scriptures." You'll not agree with some statements but this book will help you to see the design of God in the cross of Jesus. It is $2.25.

Teeth on Edge, by Robert 0. Fife. This penetrating analysis of the rise of racism among us based on an actual study of church records in bygone days is an excellent book. We would like to have you read it. It is only $1.95.

Under the Chapel Spire, by Robert 0. Fife. A series of 19 talks made to the students of Milligan College. You'll thrill to them. The book is $1.95.

Treasures from the Greek New Testament, by Kenneth S. Wuest. Studies in such words as grace, blessed, visit, perfect, coupled with an analysis of the three words for hell. A lot of good material which you will use. It is $1.95.
