Men's Classes
R. P. Shepherd Presiding
Duquesne Garden, Monday Night, October 18.
The Chairman: Men, will you all stand while we engage in prayer?
[Prayer.]
The Chairman: Frank C. Huston will now take charge of the song service, as announced.
Leader of Music: Brethren, turn to No. 18 in your book--"The Glory Song."
[Song.]
The Chairman: The special music that was arranged could not be here to-night, because somebody had the man's cornet locked up. The Fife was not locked up, and is going to sing for us. [Applause.]
[Song by Fife Quartet.]
The Chairman: Brother Chapman never misses an appointment if it is for the church, but I know that there is some reason for his absence. He has been sick all day, and came to this meeting only out of conviction of duty, and I want you to know that he is here. President Crossfield, whom we all delight to honor, president of Transylvania University, will now address us. [565]
