But speak thou the things which doctrinam become sound doctrine: 2:2 senes ut sobrii sint pudici 2. That the aged men be sober, grave, prudentes sani fide dilectione patientia temperate, sound in faith, in charity, in patience. 2:3 anus similiter in habitu sancto 3. The aged women likewise, that they non criminatrices non vino multo be in behaviour as becometh holiness, servientes bene docentes not false accusers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things; 2:4 ut prudentiam doceant 4. Young men likewise exhort to be sobrii sint sober minded. 2:7 in omnibus te ipsum praebe 7. In all things shewing thyself a exemplum bonorum operum in doctrina pattern of good works: in doctrine integritatem gravitatem shewing uncorruptness, gravity, sincerity, 2:8 verbum sanum inreprehensibilem ut 8. Sound speech, that cannot be is qui ex adverso est vereatur nihil condemned; that he that is of the habens malum dicere de nobis contrary part may be ashamed, having no evil thing to say of you. 2:9 servos dominis suis subditos esse 9. Teaching us that, denying impietatem et saecularia desideria ungodliness and worldly lusts, we sobrie et iuste et pie vivamus in hoc should live soberly, righteously, and saeculo godly, in this present world; 2:13 expectantes beatam spem et 13. Looking for that blessed hope, adventum gloriae magni Dei et and the glorious appearing of the great salvatoris nostri Iesu Christi God and our Saviour Jesus Christ; 2:14 qui dedit semet ipsum pro nobis 14.
