If ye then be risen with Christ, quae sursum sunt quaerite ubi Christus seek those things which are above, est in dextera Dei sedens where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God. 3:2 quae sursum sunt sapite non quae 2. Set your affection on things above, supra terram not on things on the earth. 3:3 mortui enim estis et vita vestra 3. For ye are dead, and your life is abscondita est cum Christo in Deo hid with Christ in God. 3:4 cum Christus apparuerit vita 4. When Christ, who is our life, shall vestra tunc et vos apparebitis cum ipso appear, then shall ye also appear with in gloria him in glory. 3:5 mortificate ergo membra vestra 5. Mortify therefore your members quae sunt super terram fornicationem which are upon the earth; fornication, inmunditiam libidinem concupiscentiam uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil malam et avaritiam quae est concupiscence, and covetousness, which simulacrorum servitus is idolatry: 3:6 propter quae venit ira Dei super 6. For which things' sake the wrath of filios incredulitatis God cometh on the children of disobedience: 3:7 in quibus et vos ambulastis 7. In the which ye also walked some aliquando cum viveretis in illis time, when ye lived in them. 3:8 nunc autem deponite et vos omnia 8. But now ye also put off all these; iram indignationem malitiam blasphemiam anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy turpem sermonem de ore vestro communication out of your mouth. 3:9 nolite mentiri invicem expoliantes 9. Lie not one to another, seeing that vos veterem hominem cum actibus eius ye have put off the old man with his deeds; 3:10 et induentes novum eum qui 10. And have put on the new man, which renovatur in agnitionem secundum is renewed in knowledge after the image imaginem eius qui creavit eum of him that created him: 3:11 ubi non est gentilis et Iudaeus 11. Where there is neither Greek nor circumcisio et praeputium barbarus et Jew, circumcision nor uncircumcision, Scytha servus et liber sed omnia et in Barbarian, Scythian, bond nor free: but omnibus Christus Christ is all, and in all. 3:12 induite vos ergo sicut electi Dei 12. Put on therefore, as the elect of sancti et dilecti viscera misericordiae God, holy and beloved, bowels of benignitatem humilitatem modestiam mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, patientiam meekness, longsuffering; 3:13 subportantes invicem et donantes 13. Forbearing one another, and vobis ipsis si quis adversus aliquem forgiving one another, if any man have habet querellam sicut et Dominus a quarrel against any: even as Christ donavit vobis ita et vos forgave you, so also do ye. 3:14 super omnia autem haec caritatem 14. And above all these things put on quod est vinculum perfectionis charity, which is the bond of perfectness. 3:15 et pax Christi exultet in 15. And let the peace of God rule in cordibus vestris in qua et vocati estis your hearts, to the which also ye are in uno corpore et grati estote called in one body; and be ye thankful. 3:16 verbum Christi habitet in vobis 16. Let the word of Christ dwell in abundanter in omni sapientia docentes you richly in all wisdom; teaching and et commonentes vosmet ipsos psalmis admonishing one another in psalms and hymnis canticis spiritalibus in gratia hymns and spiritual songs, singing with cantantes in cordibus vestris Deo grace in your hearts to the Lord. 3:17 omne quodcumque facitis in verbo 17. And whatsoever ye do in word or aut in opere omnia in nomine Domini deed, do all in the name of the Lord Iesu gratias agentes Deo et Patri per Jesus, giving thanks to God and the ipsum Father by him. 3:18 mulieres subditae estote viris 18. Wives, submit yourselves unto your sicut oportet in Domino own husbands, as it is fit in the Lord. 3:19 viri diligite uxores et nolite 19. Husbands, love your wives, and be amari esse ad illas not bitter against them. 3:20 filii oboedite parentibus per 20. Children, obey your parents in all omnia hoc enim placitum est in Domino things: for this is well pleasing unto the Lord. 3:21 patres nolite ad indignationem 21. Fathers, provoke not your children provocare filios vestros ut non pusillo to anger, lest they be discouraged. animo fiant 3:22 servi oboedite per omnia dominis 22. Servants, obey in all things your carnalibus non ad oculum servientes masters according to the flesh; not quasi hominibus placentes sed in with eyeservice, as menpleasers; but in simplicitate cordis timentes Dominum singleness of heart, fearing God; 3:23 quodcumque facitis ex animo 23. And whatsoever ye do, do it operamini sicut Domino et non hominibus heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men; 3:24 scientes quod a Domino accipietis 24. Knowing that of the Lord ye shall retributionem hereditatis Domino receive the reward of the inheritance: Christo servite for ye serve the Lord Christ. 3:25 qui enim iniuriam facit recipiet 25.
