5:1  age nunc divites plorate ululantes      1.  Go to now, ye rich men, weep and

5:9  nolite ingemescere fratres in           9.  Grudge not one against another,
alterutrum ut non iudicemini ecce iudex      brethren, lest ye be condemned: behold,
ante ianuam adsistit                         the judge standeth before the door.

5:10  exemplum accipite fratres laboris      10.  Take, my brethren, the prophets,
et patientiae prophetas qui locuti sunt      who have spoken in the name of the

5:11  ecce beatificamus qui                  11.  Behold, we count them happy which

5:13  tristatur aliquis vestrum oret         13.  Is any among you afflicted? let

5:15  et oratio fidei salvabit infirmum      15.  And the prayer of faith shall save

5:17  Helias homo erat similis nobis         17.  Elias was a man subject to like

5:19  fratres mei si quis ex vobis           19.  Brethren, if any of you do err
erraverit a veritate et converterit          from the truth, and one convert him;

5:20  scire debet quoniam qui converti       20.  Let him know, that he which
fecerit peccatorem ab errore viae suae       converteth the sinner from the error of
salvabit animam eius a morte et operit       his way shall save a soul from death,
multitudinem peccatorum                     and shall hide a multitude of sins.
