Dickinson, Elder James Died Oct. 31, 1827, at the house of  brother Joel Ellis 
                  on Cape Caphon, Hampshire County, Virginia. He was a native of
                  Ohio, had become a minister of the church of Christ age 21 in
                  that state, and began preaching two years after that. He 
                  traveled to Virginia, took charge of a church in Philadelphia,
                  and labored much in Baltimore. After the disease of 
                  consumption took hold of him, he practiced medicine in 
                  Shenandoah county, Va. A wife is mentioned in obituary.
