a Presbyterian preacher of Philadelphia, and William Lane, a
Christian preacher from Ohio. McCalla is described as about
age 42, of slender frame, about middling stature. Fluency of
speech. Lane is described as a young man about age 26, with a
native tialent and more strength of mind than McCalla. Lane is
considered victor.

Lindsay, James sen'r, died at his residence in Gallatin co. Ky., June 25, 1833,
in the 79th year of his age. He was among the first settlers of
Kentucky, near Lexington. For the last 30 years of his life
he was a pious, useful member of the Church of Christ.

Kentucky. Became a Christian in the "great revival in Kentucky
nearly 30 years ago." Moved to Missouri a few years ago. His
wife had died a few months before his death. Children mentioned
but only Dr. Milton named.
