This is the third time I am coming ore duorum vel trium testium stabit to you. In the mouth of two or three omne verbum witnesses shall every word be established. 13:2 praedixi et praedico ut praesens 2. I told you before, and foretell bis et nunc absens his qui ante you, as if I were present, the second peccaverunt et ceteris omnibus quoniam time; and being absent now I write to si venero iterum non parcam them which heretofore have sinned, and to all other, that, if I come again, I will not spare: 13:3 an experimentum quaeritis eius 3. Since ye seek a proof of Christ qui in me loquitur Christi qui in vos speaking in me, which to you-ward is non infirmatur sed potens est in vobis not weak, but is mighty in you. 13:4 nam et si crucifixus est ex 4. For though he was crucified through infirmitate sed vivit ex virtute Dei weakness, yet he liveth by the power of nam et nos infirmi sumus in illo sed God. For we also are weak in him, but vivemus cum eo ex virtute Dei in vobis we shall live with him by the power of God toward you. 13:5 vosmet ipsos temptate si estis in 5. Examine yourselves, whether ye be fide ipsi vos probate an non in the faith; prove your own selves. cognoscitis vos ipsos quia Christus Know ye not your own selves, how that Iesus in vobis est nisi forte reprobi Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be estis reprobates? 13:6 spero autem quod cognoscetis quia 6. But I trust that ye shall know that nos non sumus reprobi we are not reprobates. 13:7 oramus autem Deum ut nihil mali 7. Now I pray to God that ye do no faciatis non ut nos probati pareamus evil; not that we should appear sed ut vos quod bonum est faciatis nos approved, but that ye should do that autem ut reprobi simus which is honest, though we be as reprobates. 13:8 non enim possumus aliquid 8. For we can do nothing against the adversus veritatem sed pro veritate truth, but for the truth. 13:9 gaudemus enim quando nos infirmi 9. For we are glad, when we are weak, sumus vos autem potentes estis hoc et and ye are strong: and this also we oramus vestram consummationem wish, even your perfection. 13:10 ideo haec absens scribo ut non 10. Therefore I write these things praesens durius agam secundum being absent, lest being present I potestatem quam Dominus dedit mihi in should use sharpness, according to the aedificationem et non in destructionem power which the Lord hath given me to edification, and not to destruction. 13:11 de cetero fratres gaudete 11. Finally, brethren, farewell. Be perfecti estote exhortamini idem sapite perfect, be of good comfort, be of one pacem habete et Deus dilectionis et mind, live in peace; and the God of pacis erit vobiscum love and peace shall be with you. 13:12 salutate invicem in osculo 12.
