13:1 caritas fraternitatis maneat 1. Let brotherly love continue.

13:2 hospitalitatem nolite oblivisci 2. Be not forgetful to entertain

hospitio receptis entertained angels unawares.

13:3 mementote vinctorum tamquam simul 3. Remember them that are in bonds, as
vincti et laborantium tamquam et ipsi bound with them; and them which suffer
in corpore morantes adversity, as being yourselves also in

13:4 honorabile conubium in omnibus et 4. Marriage is honourable in all, and

adulteros iudicabit Deus adulterers God will judge.

13:5 sint mores sine avaritia contenti 5. Let your conversation be without

will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.

13:6 ita ut confidenter dicamus 6. So that we may boldly say, The Lord
Dominus mihi adiutor non timebo quid is my helper, and I will not fear what
faciat mihi homo man shall do unto me.

13:7 mementote praepositorum vestrorum 7. Remember them which have the rule

                                             conversation.

13:8 Iesus Christus heri et hodie ipse 8. Jesus Christ the same yesterday,
et in saecula and to day, and for ever.

13:14 non enim habemus hic manentem 14. For here have we no continuing
