16:1 de collectis autem quae fiunt in 1. Now concerning the collection for
sanctos sicut ordinavi ecclesiis the saints, as I have given order to
Galatiae ita et vos facite the churches of Galatia, even so do ye.
16:2 per unam sabbati unusquisque 2. Upon the first day of the week let
vestrum apud se ponat recondens quod ei every one of you lay by him in store,
beneplacuerit ut non cum venero tunc as God hath prospered him, that there
collectae fiant be no gatherings when I come.
16:3 cum autem praesens fuero quos 3. And when I come, whomsoever ye
probaveritis per Epistolas hos mittam shall approve by your letters, them
perferre gratiam vestram in Hierusalem will I send to bring your liberality
unto Jerusalem.
16:4 quod si dignum fuerit ut et ego 4. And if it be meet that I go also,
eam mecum ibunt they shall go with me.
16:5 veniam autem ad vos cum 5. Now I will come unto you, when I
Macedoniam pertransiero nam Macedoniam shall pass through Macedonia: for I do
pertransibo pass through Macedonia.
16:6 apud vos autem forsitan manebo 6. And it may be that I will abide,
vel etiam hiemabo ut vos me deducatis yea, and winter with you, that ye may
quocumque iero bring me on my journey whithersoever I
go.
16:7 nolo enim vos modo in transitu 7. For I will not see you now by the
videre spero enim me aliquantum way; but I trust to tarry a while with
temporis manere apud vos si Dominus you, if the Lord permit.

16:8 permanebo autem Ephesi usque ad 8. But I will tarry at Ephesus until
pentecosten Pentecost.
16:9 ostium enim mihi apertum est 9. For a great door and effectual is
magnum et evidens et adversarii multi opened unto me, and there are many
adversaries.
16:10 si autem venerit Timotheus 10. Now if Timotheus come, see that he
videte ut sine timore sit apud vos opus may be with you without fear: for he
enim Domini operatur sicut et ego worketh the work of the Lord, as I also
do.
16:11 ne quis ergo illum spernat 11. Let no man therefore despise him:
deducite autem illum in pace ut veniat but conduct him forth in peace, that he
ad me expecto enim illum cum fratribus may come unto me: for I look for him
with the brethren.
16:12 de Apollo autem fratre multum 12. As touching our brother Apollos, I
rogavi eum ut veniret ad vos cum greatly desired him to come unto you
fratribus et utique non fuit voluntas with the brethren: but his will was not
ut nunc veniret veniet autem cum ei at all to come at this time; but he
vacuum fuerit will come when he shall have convenient
time.
16:13 vigilate state in fide viriliter 13. Watch ye, stand fast in the faith,
agite et confortamini quit you like men, be strong.
16:14 omnia vestra in caritate fiant 14. Let all your things be done with
charity.
16:15 obsecro autem vos fratres nostis 15. I beseech you, brethren, (ye know
domum Stephanae et Fortunati quoniam the house of Stephanas, that it is the
sunt primitiae Achaiae et in firstfruits of Achaia, and that they
ministerium sanctorum ordinaverunt se have addicted themselves to the
ipsos ministry of the saints,)
16:16 ut et vos subditi sitis eiusmodi 16. That ye submit yourselves unto
et omni cooperanti et laboranti such, and to every one that helpeth
with us, and laboureth.
16:17 gaudeo autem in praesentia 17. I am glad of the coming of
Stephanae et Fortunati et Achaici Stephanas and Fortunatus and Achaicus:
quoniam id quod vobis deerat ipsi for that which was lacking on your part
suppleverunt they have supplied.
16:18 refecerunt enim et meum spiritum 18. For they have refreshed my spirit
et vestrum cognoscite ergo qui eiusmodi and your's: therefore acknowledge ye
sunt them that are such.
16:19 salutant vos ecclesiae Asiae 19. The churches of Asia salute you.
salutant vos in Domino multum Aquila et Aquila and Priscilla salute you much in
Prisca cum domestica sua ecclesia the Lord, with the church that is in
their house.
16:20 salutant vos fratres omnes 20. All the brethren greet you. Greet
salutate invicem in osculo sancto ye one another with an holy kiss.
16:21 salutatio mea manu Pauli 21. The salutation of me Paul with
mine own hand.
16:22 si quis non amat Dominum Iesum 22. If any man love not the Lord Jesus
Christum sit anathema maranatha Christ, let him be Anathema Maranatha.
16:23 gratia Domini Iesu vobiscum 23. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ
be with you.
16:24 caritas mea cum omnibus vobis in 24. My love be with you all in Christ
Christo Iesu amen Jesus. Amen.
