It is reported commonly that there fornicatio et talis fornicatio qualis is fornication among you, and such nec inter gentes ita ut uxorem patris fornication as is not so much as named aliquis habeat among the Gentiles, that one should have his father's wife. 5:2 et vos inflati estis et non magis 2. And ye are puffed up, and have not luctum habuistis ut tollatur de medio rather mourned, that he that hath done vestrum qui hoc opus fecit this deed might be taken away from among you. 5:3 ego quidem absens corpore praesens 3. For I verily, as absent in body, autem spiritu iam iudicavi ut praesens but present in spirit, have judged eum qui sic operatus est already, as though I were present, concerning him that hath so done this deed, 5:4 in nomine Domini nostri Iesu 4. In the name of our Lord Jesus Christi congregatis vobis et meo Christ, when ye are gathered together, spiritu cum virtute Domini Iesu and my spirit, with the power of our Lord Jesus Christ, 5:5 tradere huiusmodi Satanae in 5. To deliver such an one unto Satan interitum carnis ut spiritus salvus sit for the destruction of the flesh, that in die Domini Iesu the spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus. 5:6 non bona gloriatio vestra nescitis 6. Your glorying is not good. Know ye quia modicum fermentum totam massam not that a little leaven leaveneth the corrumpit whole lump? 5:7 expurgate vetus fermentum ut sitis 7. Purge out therefore the old leaven, nova consparsio sicut estis azymi that ye may be a new lump, as ye are etenim pascha nostrum immolatus est unleavened. For even Christ our Christus passover is sacrificed for us: 5:8 itaque epulemur non in fermento 8. Therefore let us keep the feast, veteri neque in fermento malitiae et not with old leaven, neither with the nequitiae sed in azymis sinceritatis et leaven of malice and wickedness; but veritatis with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth. 5:9 scripsi vobis in Epistola ne 9. I wrote unto you in an epistle not commisceamini fornicariis to company with fornicators: 5:10 non utique fornicariis huius 10. Yet not altogether with the mundi aut avaris aut rapacibus aut fornicators of this world, or with the idolis servientibus alioquin debueratis covetous, or extortioners, or with de hoc mundo exisse idolaters; for then must ye needs go out of the world. 5:11 nunc autem scripsi vobis non 11. But now I have written unto you commisceri si is qui frater nominatur not to keep company, if any man that is est fornicator aut avarus aut idolis called a brother be a fornicator, or serviens aut maledicus aut ebriosus aut covetous, or an idolater, or a railer, rapax cum eiusmodi nec cibum sumere or a drunkard, or an extortioner; with such an one no not to eat. 5:12 quid enim mihi de his qui foris 12. For what have I to do to judge sunt iudicare nonne de his qui intus them also that are without? do not ye sunt vos iudicatis judge them that are within? 5:13 nam eos qui foris sunt Deus 13. But them that are without God iudicabit auferte malum ex vobis ipsis judgeth.
