7:1 de quibus autem scripsistis bonum 1. Now concerning the things whereof

7:6 hoc autem dico secundum 6. But I speak this by permission, and

7:7 volo autem omnes homines esse 7. For I would that all men were even

melius est enim nubere quam uri them marry: for it is better to marry

7:12 nam ceteris ego dico non Dominus 12. But to the rest speak I, not the

subiectus frater aut soror in eiusmodi not under bondage in such cases: but
in pace autem vocavit nos Deus God hath called us to peace.

7:16 unde enim scis mulier si virum 16. For what knowest thou, O wife,

doceo ordain I in all churches.

                                             circumcised.

7:19 circumcisio nihil est et 19. Circumcision is nothing, and
praeputium nihil est sed observatio uncircumcision is nothing, but the
mandatorum Dei keeping of the commandments of God.

7:20 unusquisque in qua vocatione 20. Let every man abide in the same
vocatus est in ea permaneat calling wherein he was called.

utere made free, use it rather.

7:22 qui enim in Domino vocatus est 22. For he that is called in the Lord,
servus libertus est Domini similiter being a servant, is the Lord's freeman:
qui liber vocatus est servus est Christi likewise also he that is called, being
                                             free, is Christ's servant.

7:23 pretio empti estis nolite fieri 23. Ye are bought with a price; be not

7:24 unusquisque in quo vocatus est 24. Brethren, let every man, wherein
fratres in hoc maneat apud Deum he is called, therein abide with God.

7:26 existimo ergo hoc bonum esse 26. I suppose therefore that this is
propter instantem necessitatem quoniam good for the present distress, I say,
bonum est homini sic esse that it is good for a man so to be.

7:29 hoc itaque dico fratres tempus 29. But this I say, brethren, the time
breve est reliquum est ut qui habent is short: it remaineth, that both they
uxores tamquam non habentes sint that have wives be as though they had

7:30 et qui flent tamquam non flentes 30. And they that weep, as though they
et qui gaudent tamquam non gaudentes et wept not; and they that rejoice, as
qui emunt tamquam non possidentes though they rejoiced not; and they that
