And I, brethren, could not speak loqui quasi spiritalibus sed quasi unto you as unto spiritual, but as unto carnalibus tamquam parvulis in Christo carnal, even as unto babes in Christ. 3:2 lac vobis potum dedi non escam 2. I have fed you with milk, and not nondum enim poteratis sed ne nunc with meat: for hitherto ye were not quidem potestis adhuc enim estis able to bear it, neither yet now are ye carnales able. 3:3 cum enim sit inter vos zelus et 3. For ye are yet carnal: for whereas contentio nonne carnales estis et there is among you envying, and strife, secundum hominem ambulatis and divisions, are ye not carnal, and walk as men? 3:4 cum enim quis dicit ego quidem sum 4. For while one saith, I am of Paul; Pauli alius autem ego Apollo nonne and another, I am of Apollos; are ye homines estis quid igitur est Apollo not carnal? quid vero Paulus 3:5 ministri eius cui credidistis et 5. Who then is Paul, and who is unicuique sicut Dominus dedit Apollos, but ministers by whom ye believed, even as the Lord gave to every man? 3:6 ego plantavi Apollo rigavit sed 6. I have planted, Apollos watered; Deus incrementum dedit but God gave the increase. 3:7 itaque neque qui plantat est 7. So then neither is he that planteth aliquid neque qui rigat sed qui any thing, neither he that watereth; incrementum dat Deus but God that giveth the increase. 3:8 qui plantat autem et qui rigat 8. Now he that planteth and he that unum sunt unusquisque autem propriam watereth are one: and every man shall mercedem accipiet secundum suum laborem receive his own reward according to his own labour. 3:9 Dei enim sumus adiutores Dei 9. For we are labourers together with agricultura estis Dei aedificatio estis God: ye are God's husbandry, ye are God's building. 3:10 secundum gratiam Dei quae data 10. According to the grace of God est mihi ut sapiens architectus which is given unto me, as a wise fundamentum posui alius autem masterbuilder, I have laid the superaedificat unusquisque autem videat foundation, and another buildeth quomodo superaedificet thereon. But let every man take heed how he buildeth thereupon. 3:11 fundamentum enim aliud nemo 11. For other foundation can no man potest ponere praeter id quod positum lay than that is laid, which is Jesus est qui est Christus Iesus Christ. 3:12 si quis autem superaedificat 12. Now if any man build upon this supra fundamentum hoc aurum argentum foundation gold, silver, precious lapides pretiosos ligna faenum stipulam stones, wood, hay, stubble; 3:13 uniuscuiusque opus manifestum 13. Every man's work shall be made erit dies enim declarabit quia in igne manifest: for the day shall declare it, revelabitur et uniuscuiusque opus quale because it shall be revealed by fire; sit ignis probabit and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is. 3:14 si cuius opus manserit quod 14. If any man's work abide which he superaedificavit mercedem accipiet hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward. 3:15 si cuius opus arserit detrimentum 15. If any man's work shall be burned, patietur ipse autem salvus erit sic he shall suffer loss: but he himself tamen quasi per ignem shall be saved; yet so as by fire. 3:16 nescitis quia templum Dei estis 16. Know ye not that ye are the temple et Spiritus Dei habitat in vobis of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you? 3:17 si quis autem templum Dei 17. If any man defile the temple of violaverit disperdet illum Deus templum God, him shall God destroy; for the enim Dei sanctum est quod estis vos temple of God is holy, which temple ye are. 3:18 nemo se seducat si quis videtur 18. Let no man deceive himself. If any inter vos sapiens esse in hoc saeculo man among you seemeth to be wise in stultus fiat ut sit sapiens this world, let him become a fool, that he may be wise. 3:19 sapientia enim huius mundi 19. For the wisdom of this world is stultitia est apud Deum scriptum est foolishness with God. For it is enim conprehendam sapientes in astutia written, He taketh the wise in their eorum own craftiness. 3:20 et iterum Dominus novit 20. And again, The Lord knoweth the cogitationes sapientium quoniam vanae thoughts of the wise, that they are sunt vain. 3:21 itaque nemo glorietur in 21. Therefore let no man glory in men. hominibus omnia enim vestra sunt For all things are your's; 3:22 sive Paulus sive Apollo sive 22. Whether Paul, or Apollos, or Cephas sive mundus sive vita sive mors Cephas, or the world, or life, or sive praesentia sive futura omnia enim death, or things present, or things to vestra sunt come; all are your's; 3:23 vos autem Christi Christus autem 23.
