The beginning of the gospel of Filii Dei Jesus Christ, the Son of God; 1:2 sicut scriptum est in Esaia 2. As it is written in the prophets, propheta ecce mitto angelum meum ante Behold, I send my messenger before thy faciem tuam qui praeparabit viam tuam face, which shall prepare thy way before thee. 1:3 vox clamantis in deserto parate 3. The voice of one crying in the viam Domini rectas facite semitas eius wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make his paths straight. 1:4 fuit Iohannes in deserto baptizans 4. John did baptize in the wilderness, et praedicans baptismum paenitentiae in and preach the baptism of repentance remissionem peccatorum for the remission of sins. 1:5 et egrediebatur ad illum omnis 5. Now after that John was put in Iohannes venit Iesus in Galilaeam prison, Jesus came into Galilee, praedicans evangelium regni Dei preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God, 1:15 et dicens quoniam impletum est 15. And saying, The time is fulfilled, tempus et adpropinquavit regnum Dei and the kingdom of God is at hand: paenitemini et credite evangelio repent ye, and believe the gospel. 1:16 et praeteriens secus mare 16. Now as he walked by the sea of Galilaeae vidit Simonem et Andream Galilee, he saw Simon and Andrew his fratrem eius mittentes retia in mare brother casting a net into the sea: for erant enim piscatores they were fishers. 1:17 et dixit eis Iesus venite post me 17. And Jesus said unto them, Come ye et faciam vos fieri piscatores hominum after me, and I will make you to become fishers of men. 1:18 et protinus relictis retibus 18. And straightway they forsook their secuti sunt eum nets, and followed him. 1:19 et progressus inde pusillum vidit 19. And they went into Capernaum; and statim sabbatis ingressus synagogam straightway on the sabbath day he docebat eos entered into the synagogue, and taught. 1:22 et stupebant super doctrina eius 22. And they were astonished at his erat enim docens eos quasi potestatem doctrine: for he taught them as one habens et non sicut scribae that had authority, and not as the scribes. 1:23 et erat in synagoga eorum homo in 23. And there was in their synagogue a spiritu inmundo et exclamavit man with an unclean spirit; and he cried out, 1:24 dicens quid nobis et tibi Iesu 24. Saying, Let us alone; what have we Nazarene venisti perdere nos scio qui to do with thee, thou Jesus of sis Sanctus Dei Nazareth? art thou come to destroy us? I know thee who thou art, the Holy One of God. 1:25 et comminatus est ei Iesus dicens 25. And Jesus rebuked him, saying, obmutesce et exi de homine Hold thy peace, and come out of him. 1:26 et discerpens eum spiritus 26. And when the unclean spirit had inmundus et exclamans voce magna exivit torn him, and cried with a loud voice, ab eo he came out of him. 1:27 et mirati sunt omnes ita ut 27. And they were all amazed, insomuch conquirerent inter se dicentes quidnam that they questioned among themselves, est hoc quae doctrina haec nova quia in saying, What thing is this? what new potestate et spiritibus inmundis doctrine is this? for with authority imperat et oboediunt ei commandeth he even the unclean spirits, and they do obey him. 1:28 et processit rumor eius statim in 28. And immediately his fame spread omnem regionem Galilaeae abroad throughout all the region round about Galilee. 1:29 et protinus egredientes de 29. And forthwith, when they were come synagoga venerunt in domum Simonis et out of the synagogue, they entered into Andreae cum Iacobo et Iohanne the house of Simon and Andrew, with James and John. 1:30 decumbebat autem socrus Simonis 30. But Simon's wife's mother lay sick febricitans et statim dicunt ei de illa of a fever, and anon they tell him of her. 1:31 et accedens elevavit eam 31. And he came and took her by the adprehensa manu eius et continuo hand, and lifted her up; and dimisit eam febris et ministrabat eis immediately the fever left her, and she ministered unto them. 1:32 vespere autem facto cum 32. And at even, when the sun did set, occidisset sol adferebant ad eum omnes they brought unto him all that were male habentes et daemonia habentes diseased, and them that were possessed with devils. 1:33 et erat omnis civitas congregata 33. And all the city was gathered ad ianuam together at the door. 1:34 et curavit multos qui vexabantur 34. And he healed many that were sick variis languoribus et daemonia multa of divers diseases, and cast out many eiciebat et non sinebat loqui ea devils; and suffered not the devils to quoniam sciebant eum speak, because they knew him. 1:35 et diluculo valde surgens 35. And in the morning, rising up a egressus abiit in desertum locum ibique great while before day, he went out, orabat and departed into a solitary place, and there prayed. 1:36 et persecutus est eum Simon et 36. And Simon and they that were with qui cum illo erant him followed after him. 1:37 et cum invenissent eum dixerunt 37. And when they had found him, they ei quia omnes quaerunt te said unto him, All men seek for thee. 1:38 et ait illis eamus in proximos 38. And he preached in their eorum et omni Galilaea et daemonia synagogues throughout all Galilee, and eiciens cast out devils. 1:40 et venit ad eum leprosus 40. And there came a leper to him, deprecans eum et genu flexo dixit si beseeching him, and kneeling down to vis potes me mundare him, and saying unto him, If thou wilt, thou canst make me clean. 1:41 Iesus autem misertus eius 41. And Jesus, moved with compassion, extendit manum suam et tangens eum ait put forth his hand, and touched him, illi volo mundare and saith unto him, I will; be thou clean. 1:42 et cum dixisset statim discessit 42. And as soon as he had spoken, ab eo lepra et mundatus est immediately the leprosy departed from him, and he was cleansed. 1:43 et comminatus ei statim eiecit 43. And he straitly charged him, and illum forthwith sent him away; 1:44 et dicit ei vide nemini dixeris 44. And saith unto him, See thou say sed vade ostende te principi sacerdotum nothing to any man: but go thy way, et offer pro emundatione tua quae shew thyself to the priest, and offer praecepit Moses in testimonium illis for thy cleansing those things which Moses commanded, for a testimony unto them. 1:45 at ille egressus coepit 45.
