And when they came nigh to Hierosolymae et Bethaniae ad montem Jerusalem, unto Bethphage and Bethany, Olivarum mittit duos ex discipulis suis at the mount of Olives, he sendeth forth two of his disciples, 11:2 et ait illis ite in castellum 2. And saith unto them, Go your way quod est contra vos et statim into the village over against you: and introeuntes illuc invenietis pullum as soon as ye be entered into it, ye ligatum super quem nemo adhuc hominum shall find a colt tied, whereon never sedit solvite illum et adducite man sat; loose him, and bring him. 11:3 et si quis vobis dixerit quid 3. And if any man say unto you, Why do facitis dicite quia Domino necessarius ye this? say ye that the Lord hath need est et continuo illum dimittet huc of him; and straightway he will send him hither. 11:4 et abeuntes invenerunt pullum 4. And they went their way, and found ligatum ante ianuam foris in bivio et the colt tied by the door without in a solvunt eum place where two ways met; and they loose him. 11:5 et quidam de illic stantibus 5. And certain of them that stood dicebant illis quid facitis solventes there said unto them, What do ye, pullum loosing the colt? 11:6 qui dixerunt eis sicut 6. And they brought the colt to Jesus, inponunt illi vestimenta sua et sedit and cast their garments on him; and he super eo sat upon him. 11:8 multi autem vestimenta sua 8. And many spread their garments in straverunt in via alii autem frondes the way: and others cut down branches caedebant de arboribus et sternebant in off the trees, and strawed them in the via way. 11:9 et qui praeibant et qui 9. And they that went before, and they sequebantur clamabant dicentes osanna that followed, cried, saying, Hosanna; benedictus qui venit in nomine Domini Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord: 11:10 benedictum quod venit regnum 10. Blessed be the kingdom of our patris nostri David osanna in excelsis father David, that cometh in the name of the Lord: Hosanna in the highest. 11:11 et introivit Hierosolyma in 11. And Jesus entered into Jerusalem, templum et circumspectis omnibus cum and into the temple: and when he had iam vespera esset hora exivit in looked round about upon all things, and Bethania cum duodecim now the eventide was come, he went out unto Bethany with the twelve. 11:12 et alia die cum exirent a 12. And seeing a fig tree afar off habentem folia venit si quid forte having leaves, he came, if haply he inveniret in ea et cum venisset ad eam might find any thing thereon: and when nihil invenit praeter folia non enim he came to it, he found nothing but erat tempus ficorum leaves; for the time of figs was not yet. 11:14 et respondens dixit ei iam non 14. And Jesus answered and said unto amplius in aeternum quisquam fructum ex it, No man eat fruit of thee hereafter te manducet et audiebant discipuli eius for ever. And his disciples heard it. 11:15 et veniunt Hierosolymam et cum 15. And they come to Jerusalem: and introisset templum coepit eicere Jesus went into the temple, and began vendentes et ementes in templo et to cast out them that sold and bought mensas nummulariorum et cathedras in the temple, and overthrew the tables vendentium columbas evertit of the moneychangers, and the seats of them that sold doves; 11:16 et non sinebat ut quisquam vas 16. And would not suffer that any man transferret per templum should carry any vessel through the temple. 11:17 et docebat dicens eis non 17. And he taught, saying unto them, scriptum est quia domus mea domus Is it not written, My house shall be orationis vocabitur omnibus gentibus called of all nations the house of vos autem fecistis eam speluncam prayer? but ye have made it a den of latronum thieves. 11:18 quo audito principes sacerdotum 18. And the scribes and chief priests et scribae quaerebant quomodo eum heard it, and sought how they might perderent timebant enim eum quoniam destroy him: for they feared him, universa turba admirabatur super because all the people was astonished doctrina eius at his doctrine. 11:19 et cum vespera facta esset 19. And when even was come, he went egrediebatur de civitate out of the city. 11:20 et cum mane transirent viderunt 20. And in the morning, as they passed ficum aridam factam a radicibus by, they saw the fig tree dried up from the roots. 11:21 et recordatus Petrus dicit ei 21. And Peter calling to remembrance rabbi ecce ficus cui maledixisti aruit saith unto him, Master, behold, the fig tree which thou cursedst is withered away. 11:22 et respondens Iesus ait illis 22. And Jesus answering saith unto habete fidem Dei them, Have faith in God. 11:23 amen dico vobis quicumque 23. For verily I say unto you, That dixerit huic monti tollere et mittere whosoever shall say unto this mountain, in mare et non haesitaverit in corde Be thou removed, and be thou cast into suo sed crediderit quia quodcumque the sea; and shall not doubt in his dixerit fiat fiet ei heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith. 11:24 propterea dico vobis omnia 24. Therefore I say unto you, What quaecumque orantes petitis credite quia things soever ye desire, when ye pray, accipietis et veniet vobis believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them. 11:25 et cum stabitis ad orandum 25. And when ye stand praying, dimittite si quid habetis adversus forgive, if ye have ought against any: aliquem ut et Pater vester qui in that your Father also which is in caelis est dimittat vobis peccata vestra heaven may forgive you your trespasses. 11:26 quod si vos non dimiseritis nec 26. But if ye do not forgive, neither Pater vester qui in caelis est dimittet will your Father which is in heaven vobis peccata vestra forgive your trespasses. 11:27 et veniunt rursus Hierosolymam 27. And they come again to Jerusalem: et cum ambularet in templo accedunt ad and as he was walking in the temple, eum summi sacerdotes et scribae et there come to him the chief priests, seniores and the scribes, and the elders, 11:28 et dicunt illi in qua potestate 28. And say unto him, By what haec facis et quis tibi dedit hanc authority doest thou these things? and potestatem ut ista facias who gave thee this authority to do these things? 11:29 Iesus autem respondens ait illis 29. And Jesus answered and said unto interrogabo vos et ego unum verbum et them, I will also ask of you one respondete mihi et dicam vobis in qua question, and answer me, and I will potestate haec faciam tell you by what authority I do these things. 11:30 baptismum Iohannis de caelo erat 30. The baptism of John, was it from an ex hominibus respondete mihi heaven, or of men? answer me. 11:31 at illi cogitabant secum 31. And they reasoned with themselves, dicentes si dixerimus de caelo dicet saying, If we shall say, From heaven; quare ergo non credidistis ei he will say, Why then did ye not believe him? 11:32 sed dicemus ex hominibus 32. But if we shall say, Of men; they timebant populum omnes enim habebant feared the people: for all men counted Iohannem quia vere propheta esset John, that he was a prophet indeed. 11:33 et respondentes dicunt Iesu 33. And they answered and said unto nescimus respondens Iesus ait illis Jesus, We cannot tell.
