10:1 et vidi alium angelum fortem 1. And I saw another mighty angel come
descendentem de caelo amictum nube et down from heaven, clothed with a cloud:
iris in capite eius et facies eius erat and a rainbow was upon his head, and
ut sol et pedes eius tamquam columna his face was as it were the sun, and
ignis his feet as pillars of fire:
10:2 et habebat in manu sua libellum 2. And he had in his hand a little
apertum et posuit pedem suum dextrum book open: and he set his right foot
supra mare sinistrum autem super terram upon the sea, and his left foot on the
earth,
10:3 et clamavit voce magna 3. And cried with a loud voice, as
quemadmodum cum leo rugit et cum when a lion roareth: and when he had
clamasset locuta sunt septem tonitrua cried, seven thunders uttered their
voces suas voices.
10:4 et cum locuta fuissent septem 4. And when the seven thunders had
tonitrua scripturus eram et audivi uttered their voices, I was about to
vocem de caelo dicentem signa quae write: and I heard a voice from heaven
locuta sunt septem tonitrua et noli ea saying unto me, Seal up those things
scribere which the seven thunders uttered, and
write them not.
10:5 et angelum quem vidi stantem 5. And the angel which I saw stand
supra mare et supra terram levavit upon the sea and upon the earth lifted
manum suam ad caelum up his hand to heaven,
10:6 et iuravit per viventem in 6. And sware by him that liveth for
saecula saeculorum qui creavit caelum ever and ever, who created heaven, and
et ea quae in illo sunt et terram et ea the things that therein are, and the
quae in ea sunt et mare et quae in eo earth, and the things that therein are,
sunt quia tempus amplius non erit and the sea, and the things which are
therein, that there should be time no
longer:
10:7 sed in diebus vocis septimi 7. But in the days of the voice of the
angeli cum coeperit tuba canere et seventh angel, when he shall begin to
consummabitur mysterium Dei sicut sound, the mystery of God should be
evangelizavit per servos suos prophetas finished, as he hath declared to his
servants the prophets.
10:8 et vox quam audivi de caelo 8. And the voice which I heard from
iterum loquentem mecum et dicentem vade heaven spake unto me again, and said,
accipe librum apertum de manu angeli Go and take the little book which is
stantis supra mare et supra terram open in the hand of the angel which
standeth upon the sea and upon the
earth.
10:9 et abii ad angelum dicens ei ut 9. And I went unto the angel, and said
daret mihi librum et dicit mihi accipe unto him, Give me the little book. And
et devora illum et faciet amaricare he said unto me, Take it, and eat it
ventrem tuum sed in ore tuo erit dulce up; and it shall make thy belly bitter,
tamquam mel but it shall be in thy mouth sweet as
honey.
10:10 et accepi librum de manu angeli 10. And I took the little book out of
et devoravi eum et erat in ore meo the angel's hand, and ate it up; and it
tamquam mel dulce et cum devorassem eum was in my mouth sweet as honey: and as
amaricatus est venter meus soon as I had eaten it, my belly was
bitter.
10:11 et dicunt mihi oportet te iterum 11. And he said unto me, Thou must
prophetare populis et gentibus et prophesy again before many peoples, and
linguis et regibus multis nations, and tongues, and kings.
