21:1 et vidi caelum novum et terram 1. And I saw a new heaven and a new
novam primum enim caelum et prima terra earth: for the first heaven and the

21:2 et civitatem sanctam Hierusalem 2. And I John saw the holy city, new
novam vidi descendentem de caelo a Deo Jerusalem, coming down from God out of
paratam sicut sponsam ornatam viro suo heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for
                                             her husband.

21:3 et audivi vocem magnam de throno 3. And I heard a great voice out of
dicentem ecce tabernaculum Dei cum heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle

                                             them, and be their God.

21:4 et absterget Deus omnem lacrimam 4. And God shall wipe away all tears
ab oculis eorum et mors ultra non erit from their eyes; and there shall be no
neque luctus neque clamor neque dolor more death, neither sorrow, nor crying,

for the former things are passed away.

21:5 et dixit qui sedebat in throno 5. And he that sat upon the throne
ecce nova facio omnia et dicit scribe said, Behold, I make all things new.
quia haec verba fidelissima sunt et vera And he said unto me, Write: for these
                                             words are true and faithful.

21:6 et dixit mihi factum est ego sum 6. And he said unto me, It is done. I
Alpha et Omega initium et finis ego am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and

                                             he shall be my son.

21:8 timidis autem et incredulis et 8. But the fearful, and unbelieving,
execratis et homicidis et and the abominable, and murderers, and
fornicatoribus et veneficis et whoremongers, and sorcerers, and

                                             second death.

21:9 et venit unus de septem angelis 9. And there came unto me one of the
habentibus fialas plenas septem plagis seven angels which had the seven vials
novissimis et locutus est mecum dicens full of the seven last plagues, and
veni ostendam tibi sponsam uxorem agni talked with me, saying, Come hither, I
will shew thee the bride, the Lamb's
                                             wife.

21:10 et sustulit me in spiritu in 10. And he carried me away in the
montem magnum et altum et ostendit mihi spirit to a great and high mountain,
civitatem sanctam Hierusalem and shewed me that great city, the holy
descendentem de caelo a Deo Jerusalem, descending out of heaven
                                             from God,

21:11 habentem claritatem Dei lumen 11. Having the glory of God: and her

21:12 et habebat murum magnum et altum 12. And had a wall great and high, and
habens portas duodecim et in portis had twelve gates, and at the gates
angelos duodecim et nomina inscripta twelve angels, and names written
quae sunt nomina duodecim tribuum thereon, which are the names of the
filiorum Israhel twelve tribes of the children of Israel:

fundamenta duodecim et in ipsis twelve foundations, and in them the

21:17 et mensus est murus eius centum 17. And he measured the wall thereof,

21:18 et erat structura muri eius ex 18. And the building of the wall of it

21:22 et templum non vidi in ea 22. And I saw no temple therein: for
Dominus enim Deus omnipotens templum the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are

21:23 et civitas non eget sole neque 23. And the city had no need of the
