4:1 post haec vidi et ecce ostium 1. After this I looked, and, behold, a
apertum in caelo et vox prima quam door was opened in heaven: and the
audivi tamquam tubae loquentis mecum first voice which I heard was as it
dicens ascende huc et ostendam tibi          were of a trumpet talking with me;
quae oportet fieri post haec which said, Come up hither, and I will
shew thee things which must be
                                             hereafter.

4:2 statim fui in spiritu et ecce 2. And immediately I was in the
sedis posita erat in caelo et supra spirit: and, behold, a throne was set
sedem sedens in heaven, and one sat on the throne.

4:3 et qui sedebat similis erat 3. And he that sat was to look upon
aspectui lapidis iaspidis et sardini et like a jasper and a sardine stone: and
iris erat in circuitu sedis similis there was a rainbow round about the
visioni zmaragdinae throne, in sight like unto an emerald.

4:4 et in circuitu sedis sedilia 4. And round about the throne were
viginti quattuor et super thronos four and twenty seats: and upon the
viginti quattuor seniores sedentes seats I saw four and twenty elders
circumamictos vestimentis albis et in sitting, clothed in white raiment; and
capitibus eorum coronas aureas they had on their heads crowns of gold.

4:5 et de throno procedunt fulgura et 5. And out of the throne proceeded
voces et tonitrua et septem lampades lightnings and thunderings and voices:
ardentes ante thronum quae sunt septem and there were seven lamps of fire
spiritus Dei burning before the throne, which are
                                             the seven Spirits of God.

4:6 et in conspectu sedis tamquam mare 6. And before the throne there was a
vitreum simile cristallo et in medio sea of glass like unto crystal: and in
sedis et in circuitu sedis quattuor the midst of the throne, and round
animalia plena oculis ante et retro about the throne, were four beasts full
                                             of eyes before and behind.

4:7 et animal primum simile leoni et 7. And the first beast was like a
secundum animal simile vitulo et lion, and the second beast like a calf,
tertium animal habens faciem quasi and the third beast had a face as a
hominis et quartum animal simile man, and the fourth beast was like a
aquilae volanti flying eagle.

4:8 et quattuor animalia singula eorum 8. And the four beasts had each of
habebant alas senas et in circuitu et them six wings about him; and they were
intus plena sunt oculis et requiem non full of eyes within: and they rest not
habent die et nocte dicentia sanctus day and night, saying, Holy, holy,
sanctus sanctus Dominus Deus omnipotens holy, LORD God Almighty, which was, and
qui erat et qui est et qui venturus est is, and is to come.

4:9 et cum darent illa animalia 9. And when those beasts give glory
gloriam et honorem et benedictionem and honour and thanks to him that sat
sedenti super thronum viventi in on the throne, who liveth for ever and
saecula saeculorum ever,

4:10 procident viginti quattuor 10. The four and twenty elders fall
seniores ante sedentem in throno et down before him that sat on the throne,
adorabunt viventem in saecula and worship him that liveth for ever
saeculorum et mittent coronas suas ante and ever, and cast their crowns before
thronum dicentes the throne, saying,

4:11 dignus es Domine et Deus noster 11. Thou art worthy, O Lord, to
accipere gloriam et honorem et virtutem receive glory and honour and power: for
quia tu creasti omnia et propter thou hast created all things, and for
voluntatem tuam erant et creata sunt thy pleasure they are and were created.
