8:1 et cum aperuisset sigillum 1. And when he had opened the seventh
septimum factum est silentium in caelo seal, there was silence in heaven about
quasi media hora the space of half an hour.

8:2 et vidi septem angelos stantes in 2. And I saw the seven angels which
conspectu Dei et datae sunt illis stood before God; and to them were
septem tubae given seven trumpets.

8:3 et alius angelus venit et stetit 3. And another angel came and stood at
ante altare habens turibulum aureum et the altar, having a golden censer; and
data sunt illi incensa multa ut daret there was given unto him much incense,
orationibus sanctorum omnium super that he should offer it with the
altare aureum quod est ante thronum prayers of all saints upon the golden
altar which was before the throne.

8:4 et ascendit fumus incensorum de 4. And the smoke of the incense, which
orationibus sanctorum de manu angeli came with the prayers of the saints,
coram Deo ascended up before God out of the
                                             angel's hand.

8:5 et accepit angelus turibulum et 5. And the angel took the censer, and
implevit illud de igne altaris et misit filled it with fire of the altar, and
in terram et facta sunt tonitrua et cast it into the earth: and there were
voces et fulgora et terraemotus voices, and thunderings, and
                                             lightnings, and an earthquake.

8:6 et septem angeli qui habebant 6. And the seven angels which had the

8:8 et secundus angelus tuba cecinit 8. And the second angel sounded, and
et tamquam mons magnus igne ardens as it were a great mountain burning
missus est in mare et facta est tertia with fire was cast into the sea: and
pars maris sanguis                           the third part of the sea became blood;

8:9 et mortua est tertia pars 9. And the third part of the creatures
creaturae quae habent animas et tertia which were in the sea, and had life,
pars navium interiit died; and the third part of the ships

                                             upon the fountains of waters;

8:11 et nomen stellae dicitur 11. And the name of the star is called
Absinthius et facta est tertia pars Wormwood: and the third part of the
aquarum in absinthium et multi hominum waters became wormwood; and many men
mortui sunt de aquis quia amarae factae died of the waters, because they were

8:12 et quartus angelus tuba cecinit 12. And the fourth angel sounded, and
et percussa est tertia pars solis et the third part of the sun was smitten,
tertia pars lunae et tertia pars and the third part of the moon, and the

et nox similiter the day shone not for a third part of
                                             it, and the night likewise.

8:13 et vidi et audivi vocem unius 13. And I beheld, and heard an angel
aquilae volantis per medium caelum flying through the midst of heaven,
dicentis voce magna vae vae vae saying with a loud voice, Woe, woe,
habitantibus in terra de ceteris woe, to the inhabiters of the earth by
vocibus tubae trium angelorum qui erant reason of the other voices of the
tuba canituri trumpet of the three angels, which are
