16:1  et audivi vocem magnam de templo       1.  And I heard a great voice out of
dicentem septem angelis ite et               the temple saying to the seven angels,
effundite septem fialas irae Dei in          Go your ways, and pour out the vials of
terram                                       the wrath of God upon the earth.

16:2  et abiit primus et effudit fialam      2.  And the first went, and poured out
suam in terram et factum est vulnus          his vial upon the earth; and there fell
saevum ac pessimum in homines qui            a noisome and grievous sore upon the
habent caracterem bestiae et eos qui         men which had the mark of the beast,
adoraverunt imaginem eius                    and upon them which worshipped his
                                             image.

16:3  et secundus effudit fialam suam        3.  And the second angel poured out his
in mare et factus est sanguis tamquam        vial upon the sea; and it became as the

16:6  quia sanguinem sanctorum et            6.  For they have shed the blood of
prophetarum fuderunt et sanguinem eis        saints and prophets, and thou hast
dedisti bibere digni sunt                    given them blood to drink; for they are
                                             worthy.

16:7  et audivi altare dicens etiam          7.  And I heard another out of the
Domine Deus omnipotens vera et iusta         altar say, Even so, Lord God Almighty,
iudicia tua                                  true and righteous are thy judgments.

16:8  et quartus effudit fialam suam in      8.  And the fourth angel poured out his
solem et datum est illi aestu adficere       vial upon the sun; and power was given
homines et igni                              unto him to scorch men with fire.

16:9  et aestuaverunt homines aestu          9.  And men were scorched with great
magno et blasphemaverunt nomen Dei           heat, and blasphemed the name of God,
habentis potestatem super has plagas         which hath power over these plagues:
neque egerunt paenitentiam ut darent         and they repented not to give him glory.

16:10  et quintus effudit fialam suam        10.  And the fifth angel poured out his
super sedem bestiae et factum est            vial upon the seat of the beast; and
regnum eius tenebrosum et                    his kingdom was full of darkness; and
conmanducaverunt linguas suas prae           they gnawed their tongues for pain,
dolore

16:11  et blasphemaverunt Deum caeli         11.  And blasphemed the God of heaven
prae doloribus et vulneribus suis et         because of their pains and their sores,
non egerunt paenitentiam ex operibus         and repented not of their deeds.

16:12  et sextus effudit fialam suam in      12.  And the sixth angel poured out his
flumen illud magnum Eufraten et              vial upon the great river Euphrates;
siccavit aquam eius ut praepararetur         and the water thereof was dried up,
via regibus ab ortu solis                    that the way of the kings of the east
                                             might be prepared.

16:13  et vidi de ore draconis et de         13.  And I saw three unclean spirits
ore bestiae et de ore pseudoprophetae        like frogs come out of the mouth of the
spiritus tres inmundos in modum ranarum      dragon, and out of the mouth of the
                                             beast, and out of the mouth of the
                                             false prophet.

16:14  sunt enim spiritus daemoniorum        14.  For they are the spirits of
facientes signa et procedunt ad reges        devils, working miracles, which go
totius terrae congregare illos in            forth unto the kings of the earth and
proelium ad diem magnum Dei omnipotentis     of the whole world, to gather them to
                                             the battle of that great day of God
                                             Almighty.

16:15  ecce venio sicut fur beatus qui       15.  Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed
vigilat et custodit vestimenta sua ne        is he that watcheth, and keepeth his
nudus ambulet et videant turpitudinem        garments, lest he walk naked, and they
eius                                         see his shame.

16:16  et congregavit illos in locum         16.  And he gathered them together into
qui vocatur hebraice Hermagedon              a place called in the Hebrew tongue
                                             Armageddon.

16:17  et septimus effudit fialam suam       17.  And the seventh angel poured out
in aerem et exivit vox magna de templo       his vial into the air; and there came a
a throno dicens factum est                   great voice out of the temple of
                                             heaven, from the throne, saying, It is
                                             done.

16:18  et facta sunt fulgora et voces        18.  And there were voices, and
et tonitrua et terraemotus factus est        thunders, and lightnings; and there was
magnus qualis numquam fuit ex quo            a great earthquake, such as was not
homines fuerunt super terram talis           since men were upon the earth, so
terraemotus sic magnus                       mighty an earthquake, and so great.

16:19  et facta est civitas magna in         19.  And the great city was divided
tres partes et civitates gentium             into three parts, and the cities of the
ceciderunt et Babylon magna venit in         nations fell: and great Babylon came in
memoriam ante Deum dare ei calicem vini      remembrance before God, to give unto
indignationis irae eius                      her the cup of the wine of the
                                             fierceness of his wrath.

16:20  et omnis insula fugit et montes       20.  And every island fled away, and
non sunt inventi                             the mountains were not found.

16:21  et grando magna sicut talentum        21.  And there fell upon men a great
