And I saw an angel come down from caelo habentem clavem abyssi et catenam heaven, having the key of the magnam in manu sua bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand. 20:2 et adprehendit draconem serpentem 2. And he laid hold on the dragon, antiquum qui est diabolus et Satanas et that old serpent, which is the Devil, ligavit eum per annos mille and Satan, and bound him a thousand years, 20:3 et misit eum in abyssum et clusit 3. And cast him into the bottomless et signavit super illum ut non seducat pit, and shut him up, and set a seal amplius gentes donec consummentur mille upon him, that he should deceive the anni post haec oportet illum solvi nations no more, till the thousand modico tempore years should be fulfilled: and after that he must be loosed a little season. 20:4 et vidi sedes et sederunt super 4. And I saw thrones, and they sat eas et iudicium datum est illis et upon them, and judgment was given unto animas decollatorum propter testimonium them: and I saw the souls of them that Iesu et propter verbum Dei et qui non were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, adoraverunt bestiam neque imaginem eius and for the word of God, and which had nec acceperunt caracterem in frontibus not worshipped the beast, neither his aut in manibus suis et vixerunt et image, neither had received his mark regnaverunt cum Christo mille annis upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years. 20:5 ceteri mortuorum non vixerunt 5. But the rest of the dead lived not donec consummentur mille anni haec est again until the thousand years were resurrectio prima finished. This is the first resurrection. 20:6 beatus et sanctus qui habet 6. Blessed and holy is he that hath partem in resurrectione prima in his part in the first resurrection: on such secunda mors non habet potestatem sed the second death hath no power, but erunt sacerdotes Dei et Christi et they shall be priests of God and of regnabunt cum illo mille annis Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years. 20:7 et cum consummati fuerint mille 7. And when the thousand years are anni solvetur Satanas de carcere suo et expired, Satan shall be loosed out of exibit et seducet gentes quae sunt his prison, super quattuor angulos terrae Gog et Magog et congregabit eos in proelium quorum numerus est sicut harena maris 20:8 et ascenderunt super latitudinem 8. And shall go out to deceive the terrae et circumierunt castra sanctorum nations which are in the four quarters et civitatem dilectam of the earth, Gog, and Magog, to gather them together to battle: the number of whom is as the sand of the sea. 20:9 et descendit ignis a Deo de caelo 9. And they went up on the breadth of et devoravit eos et diabolus qui the earth, and compassed the camp of seducebat eos missus est in stagnum the saints about, and the beloved city: ignis et sulphuris ubi et bestia and fire came down from God out of heaven, and devoured them. 20:10 et pseudoprophetes et 10. And the devil that deceived them cruciabuntur die ac nocte in saecula was cast into the lake of fire and saeculorum brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever. 20:11 et vidi thronum magnum candidum 11. And I saw a great white throne, et sedentem super eum a cuius aspectu and him that sat on it, from whose face fugit terra et caelum et locus non est the earth and the heaven fled away; and inventus ab eis there was found no place for them. 20:12 et vidi mortuos magnos et 12. And I saw the dead, small and pusillos stantes in conspectu throni et great, stand before God; and the books libri aperti sunt et alius liber were opened: and another book was apertus est qui est vitae et iudicati opened, which is the book of life: and sunt mortui ex his quae scripta erant the dead were judged out of those in libris secundum opera ipsorum things which were written in the books, according to their works. 20:13 et dedit mare mortuos qui in eo 13. And the sea gave up the dead which erant et mors et inferus dederunt were in it; and death and hell mortuos qui in ipsis erant et iudicatum delivered up the dead which were in est de singulis secundum opera ipsorum them: and they were judged every man according to their works. 20:14 et inferus et mors missi sunt in 14.
